The terrazzostyle was credited to the Venetians during the 15th century. Workers were left with pieces after they had completed creating floors. They would grind the marble and rocks with clay to create a smooth service and reuse all of the material. Some archaeologists have found evidence of terrazzo-like floors in ruins in Turkey that date back 8,000 to 10,000 years ago. Could this mean that terrazzo is the original sustainable creating material? Maybe!
